Morning all/afternoon, Well here I am again, wrapped in my blanket except I have actually had my shower, done
my hair and had my breakfast and it isn't even 9:30 quite yet. :) I'm on a roll aren't I !
Its a sunny day, but very very cold!

Happy anniversary Viv. Hope you have a lovely day together. Do you get to go out for dinner and not cook?
Tell Joan hello and will say a little prayer that her back will calm down and she will be able to enjoy the things you both had planned.

Started on the tree yesterday. It is a big tree(artificial) and takes eons to spread the branches and the branches that come off the branches. Then found that the bottom layer of lights weren't working. We finally got one side to work so just turned the other side to the back in corner and hope no one can see it!
Decided to do the village underneath before the ornaments went on. So with daughters help we set up the houses and skating pond then strung the lights thru to each house. Except the lights didn't work! You would think I would test them first wouldn't you? So out they all came and daughter went to store to find some more, in mean time dh fixed the lights we had.
My daughter finished to village and I watched. I found that this year I can't do all that crawling around and getting up off the floor anymore. So with that we quit for the night and now have to finish it today. Don't know what other
decorating I will do but its not going to be a lot I can tell!
Well hi and bye to everone, will check in later,
daisymae

OMG, I've been gorn so long I'm totally out of touch with everything - but Hello and lovely to see everyone....and so much been happening..and congratulations to Wendy (I'm jealous, naturally)...and hugs to the poorlies xxxxx

Life's just daft at the moment, and it's pished down so much recently that our water alarm has been well and truly tested. Our Klargester (waste system) discharges into the River Tyne, so when the water in the river is high, we have an activator in the drain which sets off a blue light on the outside of the house and an earsplittingly loud whooping noise indoors.......I'm just glad there were no cameras to see us leaping out of bed and rushing down to move stuff to safe heights in the stables and O's workshop.....waterproof jacket over my nightie - and flowered wellies....

Cassie also managed to get a lump of glass in her paw yesterday which cut into her dew claw and the pad next to it - which resulted in an emergency dash to the vets and an op. to stop the bleeding and 7 staples. Not looking forward to the bill, but we're very glad she's ok.

I also scraped the car door the week before it was due to be part-exed for the new one  first accident in 36 years, and not a scratch on the Land Rover I argued with..... :? and thanks to the fact that I sold lots of cards at the school fair (£192.00 made :D ) and that Roz has taken the rest to sell for the Heroes I'm having to START NOW making my Christmas cards......

Loads of other stuff going on too, so forgive me for not being around but I'm thinking about you all with love and calling in when I can.....

Much love, frazzled and frustrated :hothead:  xx

Hi girls again,

Moira, well done £192 for the school fair that's fab - can you give me some tips please? I never seem to do too well. Hope your poor Cass is OK, what a nasty thing to happen poor baby, hope she doesn't try to lick the staples out. Must be a nightmare rushing about trying to move things out of harms way, good idea though to have the alarm. No wonder your feeling like this :geek: :hothead: :boggle:

Viv, congrats on your 41 years, you must have a lovely hubs.

It has finally stopped raining but oh so cold, it'll probably freeze on top of all that water tonight so my trek to the stables tomorrow at 5.30 am will be fun :gurn:

Must go, got more work to do before cooking dinner.

Hi Girls,

Thank you all girls for your Anniversary wishes.

Update: Joan, Bless her, is very poorly in their caravan in a boggy field. She has been to A & E local hospital, and one of her vertibry(spelling sorry  ) is slightly out, they have given her pain killers and another tablet, which i cannot remember... also some cream. She is flat on her back in terrible pain, so all our plans for tomorrow to go to "Barleylands" and Pinnacle crafts is now, no go...... she just hopes she will be able to move on Wednesday to get to London and enjoy the treats they have booked. (I wont hold my breathe!) on that happening, she really is poorly and in severe pain. I took her down a hot water bottle which she calls a (happy-bolly) dont ask......!!!! and who forgot to take the stopper, Mwaaa...left it sitting in the draw at home. we will see what tomorrow brings....

Jakki - glad you are pleased with your oven, have you christened it yet!!

So pleased all you ladies that had a few days away had a good time, i bet you all did to..

Mary - Good for Lou getting more money off on a bargan, a lady after my own heart :D Hope you got those cushions you wanted Mary.

Afternoon all,
Happy anniversary Viv and Husband , enjoy your meal.
Sorry to hear that Joan is still in a lot of pain, I do hope it eases so she can enjoy her time in London.
Had a busy days finishing off cards for Eliza , also a pair of little parch shoes to send over to them. along with their christmas cards and bits and bobs.
Tomorrow we get our new printer [ we go through these like sweeties]
I am having another HP, the one I have now is an Epson. Prints well but often has hissy fits, usually when I want something quickly too. So we have treated ourselves.
Everyone enjoy your evening, what is left of it

Evening all hope all are well or feeling better. Sat next to Gordon watching Preston North End against Blackpool.....footie no less. He was fed up as Blackpool scored in the first 20 seconds. Anyway he's a happy bunny now as Preston have just equalised :flopsy:
Happy anniversary Viv, I've a bit to go to catch you up! Gordon and I have been together 20 months on the 6 Dec, we nearly got engaged earlier this year, then he got made redundant so its on the back burner for now.
I do hope Joan gets some relief for her back, i suffer with mine constantly at the moment so i can sympathize with her greatly, there is nothing worse. My left leg and hip have been playing up this weekend and its still not right yet, i've even doubled up on the painkillers but thats not helping.
I've had a go at sort of making my own pattern today. I'd been printing out a card of Jo Sheen's heavenly cards cd and thought it might work well in parchemnt. So traced it out, painted it, embossed and done an edging, using a grid i have. I like it but i just might do a second layer of an edging to it i think. I like the ones in the christmas special mag which were layered. Anyway if it works and i can get a piccy done i will show you.
One thing I wanted to ask, most of you have albums on picturetrail, does it cost or is it a free site?
Thats all for now.
Hugs to all
Sarahxx

Ho ho ho one and all.

Quite a chilly day. Never got swimming as got call from pal to meet for coffee. Then signed on and they had a couple of jobs for me to apply for. But need to phone both and need time with no interruptions, so leaving it until tomorrow. got allmy xmas cards posted and the December bday cards as well. Just done the inserts for the last 2 cards so a tidy up over next couple of days. The a good play with my new cd's thats not see the light of day since I got them last week. Shame on me.

Viv, congratulations on your 41st anniversary. That is some going. We only reached 31 this year, but longer than the rest in our circle of friends that married round about the same time.

Moira, thats a great sum you raised good for you.

Jakki, did the cooker and arrive and does it work ok.

Hope you all your crafting done if that was your plan for the day. Enjoy rest of the evening and see you tomorrow.
