Morning ladies,
Got home quite late last night after the weekend looking after my MIL & FIL. It was better than I thought but my poor wee MIL has got worse with her alzheimer & her memory is almost nil. It's tough going when you answer the same question again & again but you just have to keep smiling. I'm sure a few people thought I'd kidnapped her as she kept asking "where's Linda?" & getting a bit figgitty(sp?). Linda is my SIL & their only daughter, who was away for a party in Yorkshire with her partner, just hope they had a good time & a well needed respite. Kenny finds it really hard with his Mum, both physically & mentally, and is also finding it hard to see his Dad so worn out. At least they have a nursing assistant coming in every morning to help get my MIL up, washed & dressed, which is a great help but it means you're up at 8am - not used to that at the weekend.
Robyn (my daughter), MIL & I went shopping on Saturday as my MIL now loves to go out shopping. It also means FIL gets a little break & can relax for a few hours. We went to Helensburgh but it was so cold, we ended up going to a little indoor shopping centre near Loch Lomond, which was lovely. I got a couple of stocking fillers, which is good.
Today it's back to work & routine, with a pile of washing. No news on the job front but did send in a few CVs on Friday so hopefully something will come from that.
Sending hugs to anyone who needs or just wants one.
Lorna

Same here, Lorna - such a shame about your MIL, this is such a devastating disease and so hard on all the families too.

I have just noticed this extra thread. I too send my sympathies and I know how you are feeling as my Aunt was exactly the same.

Missed this yesterday. It is so hard caring for Alzeimers patients. It must be awful for the whole family.
Good luck with your job hunt
