DISMAL MONDAY

Postby threecs » Mon Nov 30, 2009 8:04 am

Morning, I can't find a thread so I'll start one.
Its cold, wet and windy, very dismal looking, does not inspire me to want to go out there at all today.
Not much to report its too early, but hope you all have a good day. Stay well, warm and dry. :)
you don,t have to be mad, but it helps!

Morning Helen.

I have been up since just before 7, the cooker is being delivered today, anytime between 7 and 12, whats the odds it is 11.59   .

Just sitting here writing out the things i MUST do today whilst having a cuppa and catching up. Funny I know all year that these birthdays etc will be happening, so why do I leave the arrangements to the last minute.

I hope you all have a good day, and we dont get any of the snow that some weather forcaster mentioned on the news. Not yet a bit to early for me.

Take care

hugs

Morning you two!

All I can say is yuck! Another revolting day - Helen, don't know about you, but I'm going to run out of dry rugs to put on my horse if this carries on! Have fun with the new cooker Jakki. p.s. What are you buying hubby then, if he's got you a cooker I think you should get him a vaccuum or suchlike!

Not much to report here yet either so I'll bid you all good day and hope it goes well for everyone.

Good Morning Ladies. Dry,sunny and cold here today at the moment, but not sure if it's meant to last or not.

Jaks, hope the cooker doesn't come at the last minute, nothing worse that waiting in for something as you never seem to be able to settle to anything until the delivery is made. Have fun trying it out

Helen, have a good day at whatever you decide to do......more downloading for the silhouette???

Not much planned here today but have already done the only chores that will get done today and have managed a bit of paperwork for Pat and that is it!! I may at some stage today take it inot my head to write my xmas cards out and fingers crossed I have made enough. I think I will leave Pat's work mates at the bottom of the list and if there aren't enough they can have boughten ones

Take care of yourselves and each other and do please keep smiling :) :)

Hugs
Eve xx

Good morning gorls, hate to be a spoilsport but it is really sunny and dry (ish) here today! Absolutely persisted it down all weekend though  Jakki, I'd lay my pension on it coming at 11.59.... :D

I've got loads of washing to do as I couldn't be bothered yesterday, so I'll love you and leave you - have a great day - hope the horse's rugs dry out Maise!

Morning all. Bright, sunny and very very cold here today. Pete has put a big notice on his desk to remind him to drain the water out of the caravan today - would blow the hot water system if it froze in there. He's at his clinic at the moment, so I have a bit of peace and quiet to get all my emails and posts done. His christmas pressie arrived just now too, so that was good timing. Can go and hide it before he gets home.

Had a brilliant weekend with Helen and Rob, lovely company - thanks to you both ((((hugs)))) Am going to be doing a lot of downloading today too, seeing as it is less than half price for the designs today. Think that site is going to be very very busy today.

Will catch up on all the posts later on and see what's been happening.

Got some shopping to do today for grocery basics, then a bit of washing. After that, I am going to play - downloading from Silhouette site and looking at all the crafty bits I came home with after the weekend. :D Still got Anneke's Santa to do, so will finish that off later too.

Hope you all have a good day (((hugs)))

Will go and find out what has been happening now.

Good morning girls.

Wet, wet, wet.....

Thought i would just pop in to say "Goodmorning"

I am supposed to be visiting Joan for our craft day today, but her hubs has just phoned to say not to come just yet, he has to find a doctor for Joan. Apparently, she has pulled her back and she cannot move, i wonder if its that 5 hour car journey they did yesterday.

I bet Joan is curseing something terrible, along with the pain, she was so looking forward to today and the next few days we had planned together. Once Robert has phoned me i will pop over to see her, the last thing she will want to do is parching today. Hopefully the doc will give her some pain killers to ease the pain.

When you are not well, your own home is the best place to be, but thats another 5-6 hrs back again, so i dont know whats going to happen until i see her.

Its our 41yrs Wedding Anniversary today, and i thought hubs had forgotten it, so i was giving him some verbal but in a nice way, in 41yrs of being married to you, you have never forgotten one anniversary yet, and today you have  ........... he was pulling my leg, the card was in the porch on the mat, so i had to take all that verbal back   hence his face was beaming from ear to ear..... my lovely husband :D :D

Jeannie - think maybe we all best be up on our way to Doncaster if you have the suneshine.
How many beds have you got?? of course our Honey (Labrador) will have to come to, but be rest assured, she has no dirty habits!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D just has bad wind from time to time

Good day all, keep warm and dry.
xx

Congrats and best wishes on your Anniversary, Viv! =D> =D> \:D/

Our morning was dim and dismal to start - now the sun is shining from a blue sky.Bet it will change at lunchtime. Seems to be the pattern.

A couple of urgent cards to get done today, then write what i have - more than one or two bought(en) ones this year.

Eve , your saying took me back to my landlady in Corsham - always apologised for serving 'boughten' cake!! Happy days.

Jakki - my bet goes on 11.59 and 59 secs.......

You all soung busy so enjoy your day .

afternoon ladies!! I am up and not so much at it..but soon will have to be. Out to eat first then off to pay the car registration and groceries....2 things I hate the most!! But...has to be done!
Happy Anniversary Viv & hubby!! Wonderful that he still has a sence of humor and can surprise you after all these years!Well done boy!! :D Hope you two have a wonderful day!!
The craft sale was a complete bust this year! Lots of beautiful things for sale..carvings and native drawings and beadwork..but no one buying. Seems the economy has really hit the craft sector this year. Oh well.I have started a group page on FB to sell some of my work so hopefully that will work. I did get some good advice from a few of the artist there. They want me to apply to the Craft Council of Canada to get the work juried and hope fully accepted into the council. If I am admitted....they will do the advertising and displays for me in their shop in St. John's and across the island. So forms to fill and things to send out to them.
Well.i am off to get dressed and get at it......hope you all have a wonderful day!!! Hugs!

Hi ladies it's lovely and sunny but my word that wind is very chilly. I've changed all the bedding this morning - a job I hate and then to top that we did a hugh shop. £93 hugh shop, I nearly cried at the checkout and we didn't get that much. Never mind.
Just having a hours relax with my baby four paws before I have to go and pick up my baby 2 paws. Then the fun begins.
Enjoy your day all

Good afternoon ladies, really had a late start today - OH woke and got up at 8am, I remember thinking "I'll just have five minutes" and next woke up at 10.30am

I've been to Waitrose as planned and posted our Christmas cards so that's one job done - came home to find a lovely hand made card from a lady from another forum I use so naturally will be making one to send to her. I bought a small pack of charity cards in Waitrose for people I'm not making for, such as neighbours and people I know that aren't fussed, those will be posted tomorrow and that will, I think, be that. I have already used the cards I bought in Matalan.

Vivien, so sorry to hear that Joan is poorly and I hope she will be well enough to carry on with her visit to you once the doctor has seen her and ( hopefully ) prescribed something to help. Please pass on my best wishes to her.
Congratulations to you and your OH on 41 happy years together.

Maureen, hope Iain's back is a bit better today - might catch you later.

Jak, hope your cooker did actually arrive and you haven't been waiting in vain.

Off now to do some cuttlebug practice, having decided that's what I would be doing today I refuse to be diverted !

Well it arrived by about ten. Seriously basic, but the oven is at the right height and has a drop down door, which is what i wanted.

Viv happy anniversary love, - do hope poor Joan will be ok, such a shame she was looking forward so much to getting away. Give he a hug from me please.

Glynis what are you like   but I did have a look on there last night first time I have looked on the site for ages, yes they have got some pretty new designs.

Hi Maureen hope you are ok today.

Hi Sylvia you are made of sterner stuff that I am, not even started on the list of must do's yet.

Dianne I swear that the prices have crept up and up lately, ok something have been on offer etc, but I dont find my money goes as far. Hope the 4 paws is being good, another photo would be sooo good.

Vicki love send that again to me please. Now I know what it is all about. I never accept an invite to anything on facebook unless I know exactly what is going on. Hope you do the the council aproval, that would be brilliant.

Diet people keep loosing posts on here love. Hope you are ok

Jeannie good job you did not put your pension on the time.

Eve - caught up with Eve earlier on msn.

Right must go - now shall I turn the computer off or not

Afternoon folks. Another day when plan B came into operation as Lou turned up at about 9.30 having swopped today as a day off after having to go into work yesterday. SO, off we went on a cushion hunt amongst other things. Result? Only just got back home. Everything I had planned for today has gone out the window. Pete's birthday card is half done and hidden below another couple of sheets of stuff on the table and then I must get Shaun's done. Have to hand it to my daughter, she is learning fast. Picked up a golf shirt for Shaun in the sales and noticed a tiny mark on it so asked for further discount and got it! That's my girl!
Viv, happy anniversary my love..blimey 41 years! That makes me and Pete just beginners. Do hope Joan is OK.
Jakki...enjoy the new cooker..hope Keith gift wraps it. Pete has just got his physio appointment so that was pretty good going.
Surprise, surprise...Lou is on my desktop looking after her restuarant. Thank goodness for a laptop.

Dying for a cuppa..where's my slave...I mean husband! :D Mary
