OMG Dufex!!

I'm really sad because Dufex have gone into liquidation.
I recently joined their forum and so did Helen 3c's and on logging on today, this is the news I have read from Antony who does all the demos on C&C. I love Dufex and shall miss it greatly. I don't know the ins and outs of liquidation, but maybe they can continue under a different name or perhaps someone will buy the company and continue, but don't know how it works, just feel really really peeved - b***y recession.

How aweful I had no idea that they were having problems. As you say Maisie b****y recession, no-one is safe. I do hope that something can be sorted out, I shall miss Anthony saying "like so" all the time he's demonstrating.

As for the Dufex I think I was a Magpie in a previous life.

I always thought that these companies would be OK in the recession as crafting isn't really an expensive hobby, you can nearly always afford to buy a few sheets of paper, so I thought they'd be OK. I wonder if it's the increase in CD's, there are so many really good ones now and just from looking on the forum, we are all buying them like mad, perhaps this has helped the downfall of these companies selling the papers only? Shame we can't buy plain Dufex to go through the printer and CD's with their images on.

dufex may well be bought up by someone, Dufex itself was doing well, its the printing side of the company that went under and dufex was a subsudiary to it, so went as well.

Well, I did receive an email from Crackajacks to say they haven't found a buyer yet but I suppose it's early days! I do hope they find one though, and poor Antony and his fellow workers, I do feel for them and I will miss him on C&C!
