My second go at digital painting! I think I'm getting better - I used a photo my older daughter took to base these on. When I showed her the photo side by side with my painting she said "which is the photo?" Either she was humouring her poor old mother or she needs glasses! Although the card doesn't really do them justice. See the closeup of the actual painting...

Oh - well if you mean how is digital painting done, well you need a program like Paintshop Pro or Photoshop (there are others) that supports layers. Then you choose a picture to base it on - maybe a line drawing or photo. Using that you draw around the outline of each petal one at a time and then paint all the colours in the petal one layer at a time. Quite time consuming!
